The Kondo lattice model from strong-coupling viewpoint
We study the magnetic excitation spectrum of the two-dimensional (2D) squarelattice S=1/2 Kondo lattice model at finite (hole) doping, by representing the Hamiltonian in terms of a set of local excitations. The location of the paramagneticantiferromagnetic phase boundary at T=0 is determined.
متن کاملParameter Study of GTN Model in a SLM Manufactured Lattice Structure under Compression by Using FEM
This study investigates the effect of material parameters of the Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman (GTN) model on the failure prediction of cellular structures. The effect of elastic modulus, calibration parameter of GTN model, isotropic hardening, fracture strain, and strut diameter on the load-displacement curve of a lattice structure fabricated by Selective Laser Melting (SLM) has been studied by u...
متن کاملKaon B parameter from quenched Lattice QCD
We present results of a large-scale simulation for the Kaon B parameter BK in quenched lattice QCD with the Kogut-Susskind quark action. Calculating BK at 1% statistical accuracy for seven values of lattice spacing in the range a ≈ 0.24 − 0.04 fm on lattices up to 563 × 96, we verify a quadratic a dependence of BK theoretically predicted. Strong indications are found that, with our level of acc...
متن کاملLattice supersymmetry, superfields and renormalization
We study Euclidean lattice formulations of non-gauge supersymmetric models with up to four supercharges in various dimensions. We formulate the conditions under which the interacting lattice theory can exactly preserve one or more nilpotent anticommuting supersymmetries. We introduce a superfield formalism, which allows the enumeration of all possible lattice supersymmetry invariants. We use it...
متن کاملStrong renormalization of the electronic band gap due to lattice polarization in the GW formalism.
The self-consistent GW band gaps are known to be significantly overestimated. We show that this overestimation is, to a large extent, due to the neglect of the contribution of the lattice polarization to the screening of the electron-electron interaction. To solve this problem, we derive within the GW formalism a generalized plasmon-pole model that accounts for lattice polarization. The resulti...
